14 months!
Addalyn is now 14 months old. She is very entertaining! She loves to get into everything!!! She loves to give kisses to everyone and everything. She is obsessed with doggies and loves to say, "doggie" and "ruff, ruff". She has learned to say, "no" and likes to say it all the time. Although, I don't think she quite understands what it means half the time. She loves to play with little girls and she loves to wear pretty silver eyeshadow. She says, "pwitty", and points to her eyes. She knows where all her body parts are and will point to them if she is asked. She loves to help mommy clean and she always picks up her toys. She loves to eat cheese and walks around saying, "chi, chi, chi" That means cheese and that she wants more. She likes to climb anything she can and is always trying to get into cupboards and closets and the dryer. She just figured out how to open the dryer door and tries to climb in it almost every day. She keeps me very busy!!! I love her to pieces. She is a sweetheart!

Our Story...
I wanted to let you all know a little about me and Nate and how we met. We met about 6 years ago at a singles ward activity. Nate had recently been engaged, his fiance had broken up with him about a week before I met him. He came to the activity with a friend hoping to keep his mind off everything. I noticed him that night and thought he was cute...along with about five other girls. I didn't really think much about it...just another boy(as there were always new boys in the singles ward). The next night we had a family home evening activity up Spanish Fork canyon. We had a BBQ and looked at stars. I decided I was going to talk to him. And for those of you who don't know me very well, I'm pretty shy, and for me to decide to go up and start talking to him was a big deal! Anyway, I talked to him off and on during the activity. When it was over me and a few of my friends decided to go to the park at the library(we did this almost every night). I invited Nate to come with us. He talked to me and a couple of my friends, he told us about his ex and what was going on. We talked for about 2 hours that night. After people started leaving to go home, we went and sat on a bench and talk for another hour. He invited me to come hang out with him the next day and gave me his phone number. I went home smiling! I had met a wonderful, good looking guy, who gave me his number...I knew there was something special between us. We connected and were able to open up easily to each other.
The next day we hung out and ate pizza and watched a movie. It ended up being more like a date. We had a blast! We got along so well and we always had something to talk about. When the night was over we had both told one another that we liked each other and we shared our first kiss that night. That's where it all started.
We dated throughout the next 3 months, but were not too serious. It was on Christmas Eve of 2005 that he told me he had fallen in love with me and wanted to be with me forever. He asked me to officially be his girlfriend. We then started seriously dating. It was a nice Christmas. Nate and I steady dated for the next year and a half.
Nate proposed to me on March 9th, 2007. We went out to eat at our favorite restaurant, Mimi's Cafe, and then went back to his parents house(he was living at home at the time). We starting playing a card game and I ended up getting upset somehow, I don't really remember why...but I went to his room and was crying. He came in a few minutes later and talked to me. He hugged me and kissed me, then pulled out the beautiful ring and asked me to marry him. I said yes of course! He said that since I was having such a sad moment, he had to do something to make me happy, and he KNEW that would work!!! It was so cute! Then we watched the Disney movie, Aladdin, it was a wonderful night! The ring was gorgeous, and was perfect for me...not too big, and not too flashy, it had every feature that I liked and was absolutely perfect.
We were married almost 2 months later, on May 4th, 2007. We married in his parents gorgeous backyard! It was beautiful!! We had a small wedding with close family. It was perfect! I didn't want a big wedding. I fact, we had talked many times about running away to Vegas and getting married...but I did want my family to be there. We married at 10am and the weather turned out to be just right, not hot, or cold, or rainy, just perfect. After the ceremony we had some carrot cake and took pictures. We left at 11:30am and had my brother and his girlfriend Amber drive us to the Salt Lake airport. We took off on a plane on our honeymoon to Disneyland! We stayed for 7 days. We went to Disneyland, Universal Studios and Knott's Berry Farm. The weather was wonderful and the lines were short. We didn't have to wait more than ten minutes for anything. We stayed in a nice hotel with a view of Disneyland from our room, and a warm cooked all-you-can-eat breakfast every morning! We had a blast! :) Plus, Nate had never been to Disneyland and had never been on a airplane.
We have now been married for 3 years! We are doing well. We now have a 14 month old girl, Addalyn Marie, and we have a cute little apartment in Spanish Fork. We are still very much in love and are very happy together. I will write more about the baby in another post. But, there you have it...the story of us!
